Primary Certification Course Instructors and on-water Training Captains to Safe Boating America MUST have the following qualifications:
1. Be a Captain Licensed from the U.S. Coast Guard or have successfully completed the Captains course AND
2. Be a Certified State Safe Boating Instructor or teacher and/or
3. Be a Certified Instructor from the National Safe Boating Council.
4. Be enrolled in a Random Drug Testing Program and
5. Be currently certified in the American Heart Association's CPR, AED and First Aid program
We believe that extensive experience and proficiency in both boating and teaching is necessary to instruct students in an efficient and comprehensive format.
Every Instructor we have is an experienced boater with multiple certifications so you can be sure you'll get the education you expect.
